Airline Ticket Taxes and Fees Charged at Published Prices

In order to give a trip cost, government-imposed taxes and levies as well as any applicable airline costs are either included in your fare or itemized individually on your checkout page. Your ticket price includes the applicable tax rates in place at the time of purchase. The traveler may be liable for retroactive tax rate hikes. Entry or Exit Fees for overseas flights may be paid in addition to your fare or listed individually on your checkout page, as explained below. Airline itineraries with advertised prices that use several carriers will incur a non-refundable charge per ticket. Your schedule may also be subject to additional fees, such as those for paper tickets, itinerary changes, cancellations, and refunds, baggage fees, and entry or exit on particular overseas flights.

Paper Ticket Fees:

If the issuance of paper tickets is necessary for your route, a shipping and handling fee will be applied. There will be an extra re-handling cost if your tickets need to be redirected or are returned because they were unable to be delivered. Note: Your contract will indicate whether this cost applies before you make a purchase.

Phone Call or Online Ticket Processing Fee:

Please be aware that a small processing fee will be applied to any reservations you make through our website or with one of our on-call travel specialists. For US domestic bookings, you must pay a processing fee of $25, and for international bookings, you must pay a processing fee of $75. Both fees are in addition to the quoted fare.

Baggage and Other Ancillary Airline Fees:

For some services and/or if you go over certain restrictions set by the airlines, like the number of bags or weight allowed, you may need to pay extra fees at the airport. Some airlines do not provide free baggage allowance. The basic terms of an airline's baggage fees are summarized by Farevia throughout the booking process; however, each airline should be checked for complete details on its luggage and other ancillary fees.

Itinerary Changes/Cancellations/Refunds:

If allowed by the airline's rate rules, changing an itinerary for an air trip may be subject to a change fee paid by the airline, which normally ranges between $200 and $300 USD per ticket and varies by market, carrier, and particular fare rule. Additionally, a per ticket Farevia processing fee will apply to any modifications you make to your itinerary through Farevia.

Entry/Exit Fees:

Some nations or airports may charge you to enter or leave the country if you are traveling internationally. The cost of the ticket, as well as the taxes and fees we list on our website before a purchase, do not include these costs. We advise you to consult www.travel.state.gov before departing for additional details on entry/exit fees for particular countries.
